Karis Parenting publishes materials to equip parents and caregivers of young children with daily tools to weave their faith into early childhood development activities. Karis is a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Asheville, NC and is funded through Lilly Endowment’s Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative. Their work blends theology and science to meet the unique needs of parents and caregivers. Karis joins Lakeside Book’s growing Christian division effective September 1, 2026.
Académie du Vin Library is known for books from some of the world’s leading wine experts. In addition to newly commissioned titles, Académie du Vin Library publishes revised editions of important wine classics. They are recognized for their world-renowned Classic Wine Library and the Wines of series, but also publish single titles of note from a variety of contemporary authors. Académie du Vin Library books will be available through Lakeside Book as of October 1, 2026.
Les Editions Goelette, a Quebec based publisher of French language books, has chosen Lakeside Book as their partner for launching their first English language list. The Goelette list spans a wide range of categories from puzzle books, general fiction, and practical guides to children’s books, educational materials, and cookbooks. Goelette will be working with Lakeside Book to select titles from their core list to repackage in English for the American market starting January 1, 2027.
Empress Editions is an innovative indie press dedicated to amplifying the voices of midlife women by developing a publishing program specifically targeted to this demographic. Nonfiction titles spotlight memoirs and self-help, while fiction is focused on romance and its many sub-genres. Each book is supported by an extensive publicity campaign especially tailored to fit the subject and intended market. Lakeside Book will represent Empress as of January 1, 2027.
