Warrenville, IL — February 16, 2026 — Lakeside Book Company is pleased to
announce that Todd McGarity has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Business
Development, Book Services. In this role, Todd will support Lakeside Book’s continued growth
across its services platform and help strengthen relationships with publishing partners through
its warehousing and distribution capabilities.

Todd brings more than 20 years of experience in publishing, distribution, and corporate
strategy. He joins Lakeside Book from Hachette Book Group, where he served as Vice
President of Corporate Business Development & Strategy. In that role, Todd led U.S. business
development initiatives, working closely with publishing partners to expand distribution programs
and enhance service offerings. Earlier in his career, Todd held business development roles at
Random House, Pearson, and Harcourt Brace College Publishers.
Todd holds an MBA from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and a BA in
Economics from Penn State University. He also proudly served for a decade as an officer in the
U.S. Army Reserves.

In his new role, Todd will report to Michael Shea, President Book Services, and focus on
advancing Lakeside Book’s Distribution Services business and supporting the company’s
ongoing investments in technology and operational excellence. His industry experience and
collaborative approach will help Lakeside Book continue delivering high-quality, flexible
solutions to publishers and partners.
